What do you say of a wonderkid who was featured on the BBC at the age of nine due to his piano-playing histrionics, and is today the fastest piano player in the world? This is apart from the fact that he is also a music director of repute and and has a voice that would make you ask for more. Adnan Sami, the complete musician from Pakistan, takes all the achievement in his stride with ease. He has now collaborated with Asha Bhosle on two albums, Kabhi To Nazar Milao and Barse Badal. |
Adnan Sami
Sami cut his teeth on the piano when he was very young, and was noticed by his family friend, who put in a word to BBC. The channel saw Adnan at a concert, and was smitten enough to ask him for a television interview. He also performed a musical piece for them. Needless to say, Adnan's tryst with fame began early.
Adnan also hugely benefitted from the piano lessons he had in school at Rugby. Music was an important extra-curricular activity in school, and the institution housed a huge music school. Adnan was also fortunate to find a teacher in Mr Campbell, who honed his skills on the piano. Under Campbell's tutelage, Adnan also learnt song writing, music organising, structuring melodies and orchestration. Apart from that, Adnan is largely a self-taught musician.
The musician's association with Asha Bhosle goes back to the time when he was barely 10 years old. The diva was performing in London, with R D Burman. Adnan had an opportunity to play his recorded music to them. Ashaji spotted his talent early, and asked him to pursue his interests in music seriously. Her words were almost prophetic.

drifted into popular music in Pakistan, with albums like Abstract, Ecstasy,
Raag Time, Live In Karachi and Sargam. His singles like Teri yaad, Dekho janeman,
Pyaar hai, pyaar bina and Barsaat enjoyed a dream run on the charts. His collaboration
with Indian artists began with a classical album with Magnasound and Hariharan
called One and Only. Ashaji's prophetic words rang true when Adnan collaborated
with her for Kabhi To Nazar Milao and Barse Badal. The two albums have set the
charts on fire, and remind us of the eclectic talent of the mucisian that is
Adnan Sami.
My Comments : He is talented but the music vedio picturization has caused a lot of problem for the common women - nowadays fatsos, aged and haggard looking men in their cars stop by and try their luck more often ......after seeing slim-trim Rani Mukherjee, Amisha Patel singing and giving him come hither love lorn looks (lust lorn actually) - these fatso men who gorge food like nobody's business - stop by to pick up 'call girls' - since call girls have started looking like corporate girls - afterall so many TV fashion shows and make up tips are also watched by them - but the old, aged fatso haggards do not understand the difference so they stop by anyone and everyone trying their luck ! This makes me sick and immensely irritates me !!
Also I fail to understand why such dreams are being given to fat men ! no woman who has a figure like Amisha or Rani will ever even look at such hideous looking elephants !Why can'y they stay behind as playback singers with dignity ?
